As a photographer, I have shot many types of photography, including; Weddings, Portraits, Fashion portfolio work and glamour. My true passion is the female form, I have for years found that I am most creative when shooting women. I think that one of my strongest influences has to be Helmut Newton. There is a stark beauty to his work that I find enticing. I also admire his philosophy, once the question was posed to him about why he shot female nudes, his response, why not? That is pretty much the way I feel about it too, the nude female form is beautiful, it has been a strong theme in art for hundreds of years and will always be. As along we find new ways to present it.

 One of my art teachers, Michael Smykaluk, has been a huge influence on me. He once told me that art needs to provoke emotion, and that means any emotion, if doesn't matter if you like it or not. All it needs to do is make you feel something, to make people stop and look, which is what art is for.
